HUMPIER’s DNA is to create timeless garments and limited edition designs. The brand is environmentally aware which is why it creates collections under the philosophy that less is more. It produces very few quantities so that each garment is exclusive and the uniqueness of each of its designs can be maintained. Also, to minimize its impact, HUMPIER’s products are created from recycled materials, organic cotton and ecological dyes.
Its corporate responsibility places sustainability as a fundamental pillar, which has led HUMPIER to join Dcycle to calculate and offset the carbon footprint of its products. From the design, through the production process, to its sale, its garments have been analyzed to calculate the CO2 emissions generated directly and indirectly. In addition, the tool has analyzed its emissions from Scopes 1 and 2 (from its facilities’ electricity, fossil fuels and GHGs).
Thanks to this analysis, at Dcycle we have been able to determine that during the year 2020, the brand generated a total of 52,673 kilograms of CO2 equivalent.
Once its impact was known, HUMPIER wanted to offset the carbon footprint of its products by investing in renewable energy generation credits equivalent to its emissions.
By compensating for the emissions it has not yet been able to avoid, the brand has received a certificate from the United Nations Climate Change Office, confirming that HUMPIER is carbon neutral.
