Crismachem makes a difference as the first Carbon Negative company in the Spanish sector.

At Crismachem, the idea of implementing sustainable practices is integrated into the company's DNA: doing the right thing because it is the right thing, starting from the idea that a good action based on a good reason generally produces good results over time. It’s a commitment to quality and respect. However, they didn’t know how to implement actions to reduce their carbon footprint. They wanted to differentiate themselves from their competitors, even though legislation did not require them to take any action. They wanted to demonstrate their positive impact and minimize their environmental footprint as much as possible on their own. They understood the importance of data verification, so they were looking for a solution that would provide that confidence.

Working with Dcycle, Crismachem has obtained the Carbon Footprint Registration Certificate (Scope 1 and 2) for its main activity of distributing raw materials and chemical specialties. The “Calculo” and “Compenso” seals issued by MITECO reflect their firm commitment to sustainability, measuring, and reducing environmental impact. Additionally, Crismachem has started a footprint reduction program "Reduzco" and is working on CO2 absorption projects by reforesting hectares of burned forests in Galicia, offsetting twice the amount of CO2 emitted. They have also begun analyzing the life cycle of their products to make decisions that reduce their impact.
