Build custom formulas in columns and visualizations
You can now write your own formulas directly in Dcycle to create calculated columns and custom metrics, instead of exporting data to a spreadsheet.

Create your own calculations
You can now build formulas directly on top of your existing fields and custom columns. Write a formula once and Dcycle calculates a value for every row, for example dividing quantity by physical quantity in purchases to get a unit price.
Combine arithmetic, comparisons and functions such as IF, ROUND and ABS, and use conditions to apply different calculations depending on your data.
Custom metrics in visualizations
The same formula engine now powers your visualizations. Calculate sums, averages, percentages, ratios and weighted averages, choosing whether to calculate each row before aggregation or work with already aggregated values.
Filter and sort by calculated columns, include them in exports, and use them in charts. Results update automatically as the underlying data changes, and ratios or averages recalculate correctly when you change grouping or filters, including subtotals and grand totals.
Built to be easy to use
Column and function autocomplete, plus a function menu with syntax, arguments and examples, help you write formulas without needing to memorize how each one works.
This is a first step towards giving you more flexibility to define your own calculations using the data you already have in Dcycle.
