Choose what happens when you delete a file

When you delete a file, Dcycle now asks what you want to do with it, so files never linger in My files after being removed from a project and records are never deleted unless you choose to.

A clearer way to delete files

Deleting a file used to leave room for confusion. A file removed from a project could still show up in My files, and deleting a file sometimes took its associated records with it even when you did not want that.

Now, whenever you delete a file, Dcycle asks you what you want to do. You are always in control of whether the file itself, its associated records, or both are removed.

What this fixes

  • No more orphaned files: deleting a file from a project also removes it from My files, so it does not linger outside the project.
  • No more accidental data loss: deleting a file no longer removes its associated records unless you explicitly choose to.
