Filter a whole view by facility, and duplicate it

Scope an entire visualization view to the facilities you choose, and copy that view with all its widgets instead of building one from scratch for every site.

Filter every widget in a view at once

Visualization views now have a “Facilities” filter next to Category and Visualization type. Pick the facilities you want and the data narrows across every widget in the view at the same time, so you no longer have to open each widget and filter it by hand.

The filter belongs to the view, not to your session. It survives a reload and everyone who opens that view sees the same scope, which makes a view you have set up for one site something you can hand over to the person responsible for it.

Duplicate a view with all its widgets

The active view’s menu now offers “Duplicate view”. It creates a copy with every widget of the original: same name, same type, same configuration, and the same position and size on the grid at every screen size. The copy opens straight away, ready to edit.

Together with the facility filter, this is what turns a group level view into a per site one: build the view once, duplicate it, and change only the facilities it points at.

Good to know

Some widgets cannot be scoped to a facility: file, custom KPI, map, dataset and the energy summary. Those say so on the card itself, with an icon and a tooltip, rather than showing a figure that looks filtered and is not.

When you filter, data that does not hang off any facility, such as commuting, purchases with no facility and historical emissions, drops out of the pivot table widgets. That is the literal reading of “only these facilities”, but it does mean the sum of all facilities may not match the unfiltered total.
