What is changing, in one minute
ESG-X is joining Dcycle. The platform you already use for carbon accounting, DMA, CSRD reporting, VSME, LCA and AI-assisted reporting is being unified under the Dcycle brand. Your access, your data, your contract and your day-to-day contacts continue exactly as before. The only thing you will see change over the next weeks is the branding. As a Dcycle client, you also gain access to additional capabilities that you can opt into whenever you are ready: a broader logistics and Scope 3 module under GLEC, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001, supplier engagement at scale, a richer LCA module and deeper AI assistance.
About the change
What is happening?
ESG-X is joining Dcycle. The platform you already use for carbon accounting, DMA, CSRD reporting and VSME is being unified under the Dcycle brand and product. Functionally, it is the same platform you know, with a larger team and a broader roadmap behind it.
Why is this happening?
Dcycle and ESG-X share the same mission: turn ESG data into something companies can actually use. Bringing the two products together lets us consolidate engineering, accelerate innovation (especially AI-assisted reporting) and offer a single, complete platform instead of two overlapping ones.
Is Dcycle acquiring ESG-X or are they competitors?
They are not competitors. ESG-X is becoming part of Dcycle. You now have a single provider for your sustainability data, reporting and insights.
When does this happen?
The transition is gradual. The brand change will roll out over the coming months. Any visible change to your workspace, login or workflows will be communicated in advance by your account contact.
Your account, data and access
Do I need to do anything?
No. Your login, your data, your projects and your reports stay in place. We handle the transition on our side.
Will my data be migrated? Is it safe?
Your data remains protected under the same security standards and contractual commitments, including our infrastructure certified under ISO 27001 by TUV Rheinland. When the technical migration happens, it is performed by our engineering team with full validation: every figure, report and calculation is cross-checked before, during and after the move. You do not have to export or re-upload anything.
Will my login URL change?
If it changes, we will tell you at least two weeks in advance and provide a redirect from your current URL. You will not lose access because of a URL change.
Will there be downtime?
The goal is zero downtime. If a short maintenance window is ever required for your account, we will schedule it outside of business hours and give you advance notice.
Contracts, pricing and commercial terms
Does my contract change?
No. Your contract, pricing, scope and renewal date remain as signed with ESG-X. The legal entity behind your service may be updated at renewal, and we will communicate any such change clearly and in writing.
Will pricing go up because of this change?
No. This transition does not trigger a price change. Your next renewal will follow the terms already in your contract.
I am in the middle of a DMA, CSRD or VSME project. Is that affected?
No. Active projects continue in the same workspace, with the same AI support and the same team. If your project spans the transition window, your CS contact will walk you through anything you should be aware of.
Features and functionality
Will I keep the AI-assisted reporting I use today?
Yes. AI assistance across DMA, CSRD and VSME reporting continues and is being extended. One of the reasons for joining Dcycle is to invest more heavily in AI capabilities, not less.
What new capabilities do I get?
As a Dcycle client, you can opt into a wider catalogue: an expanded Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) module, logistics and transport emissions under GLEC, supplier engagement and questionnaires at scale, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 modules, a multi-framework reporting engine and deeper AI insights across your data. You are not charged for modules you do not use.
Do I have to adopt new modules?
No. You stay on the scope you are paying for today. New modules are available when and if you want them.
Will emission factors and calculation methodologies stay the same?
Yes. Methodologies are preserved and the emission factor libraries used in your existing projects continue to be available. Where additional libraries exist in Dcycle, you can opt into them; the default for existing projects does not change.
Support, training and contacts
Who is my point of contact?
The Customer Success contact you already work with. If that changes, we will introduce the new person directly, with full account context already handed over.
How do I get help?
Through the same channels you use today: your CS contact, in-product help and support email. We are adding a dedicated transition helpdesk for the duration of the roll-out.
Where can I see the new Dcycle documentation?
Documentation is being consolidated at docs.dcycle.io. ESG-X help resources remain available during the transition and redirect to the Dcycle equivalents as they are published.
